I don't know why, but lately I've been thinking about Angels. Archangels mainly. I am so curious it's insane. What are they like? What do they look like? Do they still do missions now, or has that time passed? How many of them are there? Have we only heard of four of the archangels or are there only four of them?
All these questions and more kept filling my head and soon it sprouted off into other questions like why did God make angels? Why did he make us? What kind of relationship does he have with the angels, does he see them as his children, his warriors, or a mixture of the two?
I went to the best place I could think of for answers; the bible.
I. Found. Nothing.
Seriously, there's very little about angels, or demons for that matter, in the bible. This is something I did not know until it was too late. Here I was, wanting answers for every conceivable question about angels and I have no answers. Angels are just hinted at in the bible, God never goes into detail about what they're like or what they really do. I mean he hints a lot, but that's about it.
I know it's not the important message.
The important message is how God loves us so much that he gave his only son to die for our sins. That all he wants is to be with us and he gave everything for that, and angels aren't that important in that.
But still, I want to know. I want to know what the soldiers are like, the soldiers that are fighting behind the scenes so that you and I can have a happier way of life.
But it wouldn't matter, it's not like I could thank them if I could find them.
They're holly creatures, angels and wouldn't accept any sort of praise. They'd reflect the praise to God.
So, to solve my problem for the time being (I want some answers when I get to heaven) I have decided to thank God for the angels and pray for him to give them all the strength they need to fight the battle.
