Hey, y'all! I know I haven't done a medical update in awhile, but maybe the good news in this one will more than make up for it.
So, I went to the doctor recently (I can't remember the exact day right now) and I found out that my internal swelling's gone down from a 10 to a 0! Pretty dang exciting! This means that my Humira is already starting to work, which is faster than we thought it could, and that it's still building up in my system. That means the low swelling number could only be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to how much better this new medicine will make me! =D
I also was taken off of the Methotrexate because my doctor didn't think it was doing anything and the fact that it was lowering the white blood cell count in my already weak immune system made anything it might be doing not worth it.
So, I'm only on one medicine now, it doesn't make me sick and it barely hurts at all.
Things are looking up! =D
