Monday I went to see Dr.Lutt for a follow up and walked in with a list of questions. After going through everything and getting examined, I got the common but frustrating reaction of "I'm honestly baffled."
I've heard this from every doctor I've been to, but I was honestly hoping to avoid it this time. No such luck.
To Dr.Lutt's credit, he recovered well from the baffling, and suggested we get a second opinion from another Rheumatologist. She will be my third Rheumatologist.
Dr.Lutt doesn't want to do anything until I'm looked at with fresh eyes and other doctor can't see me until September, so now I'm in a hurry up and wait situation.
I had a couple of viles of blood drawn and we got the results in yesterday that everything's normal, so no answers there. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
I almost ALWAYS get the baffled comment when I go to see doctors too. Just remember God is with you and only HE can truly make you better. I know we're strangers, but it's just a word of encouragement from one chronic pain patient to another. Concentrate more on HIM and you'll discover how much less you concentrate on your pain.
ReplyDeleteAlso look at all the good things in life. Like your family, your best friends, your pets. I know the pain seems horrendous right now, but there are so many other wonderful things in life to look at that in the end they overpower the awful pain you're going through. I lost friends because I was so focused on myself and my pain that they were tired of me consuming their time with me. Me me me. That's all the pain was and that's all I cared about. I was no longer interested in them. It hurt when they stopped talking to me but it was a valuable lesson at the same time.
Sorry to go on. Just trying to be helpful!
Thank you so much for your comment, thatgirlnotmarlo, like it kind of made my day a little bit. =D
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry about going on, I don't mind it one little bit, your advice was helpful and I always like making new friends.
(There's no such things as strangers, just friends God hasn't introduced you to yet ;) )
hahaha! Your last sentence made me extremely happy! By the way you can call me Liz. (:
