Yesterday I got an EEG done to see if my headaches and memory problems are being caused by seizures. I think it went pretty well, I had to be up and on the road at the crack of dawn which, since I'm a night owl, wasn't very fun, but since I was there so early in the day everyone was running on time, so I didn't have to wait very long.
It started with a tech asking me a few questions like which hand I wrote with, when my accident happened, and what medications I was on. After that, she measured my head and marked it up with a bright red marker so she'd know where to stick all the little transmitters. After that, she hooked me up to the machine (it had a label that said “Optimus Prime” on it, I was pretty excited about it) and did the test. It was a weird but actually kind of neat experience – I had to do math in my head, got quizzed on stuff like who the president was, did things like blink for a couple of minutes and deep breathing, and I finished it off by taking a little nap. The test was about 45 minutes long, and it took another 15 to 20 minutes just to get the bulk of the glue out of my hair. There was a lot of glue and some of it is still stuck in my hair.
I wont know anything until I see my Neurologist next week.
In other medical news, I've had a unexplainable twitch for about a week and a half now. I look like I have Parkinson's. How severe the twitching is depends on the hour, sometimes I don't twitch at all and sometimes I twitch so violently I fall out of my chair. I've given myself some lovely bruises, dislocated my shoulder, and pulled quite a few muscles. It wakes me up a lot too, I haven't really slept well since the twitches started. We don't know what's causing it and it's really concerning, so I'll bring it up when I see my Neurologist. Prayer would be wonderful.
