My dermatologist called me today about my biopsy results, I thought it would take longer, but apparently I was wrong. He told me the results were in and that he thinks I have lupus. No beating around the bush or anything, no, he just dropped that lovely bombshell and reminded me to come back in a couple of weeks to get my stitches out.
I'd been having a pretty awful day before that call, so after it I kind of just sat there in shock for a bit and then started to freak out. A lot. I don't really know why I freaked out so much, but I did, I almost lost my mind and it took hours for me to be calmed down.
I'm totally fine now though.
Anyways, since this is a new doctor who hasn't been brought up to date on my case, he might be wrong. Right now it looks like there could be 4 different causes for my feet freaking out.
1) A really weird side effect from one of my medications.
2) Some sort of virus.
3) An autoimmune disease such as lupus.
4) My heart throwing little clots into my feet.
I've gone off the medication that might be causing it, so now all that's left to do is get more testing done with my primary doctor, wait, and pray.
Aside from my weird freak out that consumed my Friday, I'm actually not all that worried. None of this took God by surprise, this is all still completely in His hands, and I trust Him. We were actually planning on running some of the tests needed before the dermatologist dropped the bomb shell, so it's not really going to throw a wrench into my already planned medical stuff. I'm still working on strengthening my legs and practicing standing so I can get on my feet and out of the chair soon and so far it's been going really well. I haven't fallen a single time yet which is a ton better than anyone expected. =D
As always, thank you all so very much for your prayers, I will keep you as up to date as I can, and feel free to ask questions. :)
