Catching Up

The original plan was to write a different post for each new doctor visit or something like that, but with my concussion and everything I haven't been able to stay on top of it all. So now I'm just going to go over everything and catch y'all up.

  • The RA diagnosis is being questioned right now and is almost completely out the window. I've been taken off of all my medications and we're waiting to see what flairs up. After that I'll be sent through the different specialists and see if they can figure out what's wrong.

  • Dr. Lutt's put me on a new medicine, Cymbalta, and a different type of Tramadol to hopefully help with my pain and Cyclobenzapr (a muscle relaxer) to hopefully help with sleep.

  • My concussion is slowly getting better. Is still have my share of bad days, but I'm starting to remember bigger chunks of my good days.

  • I saw a neurologist on the 20th and she thinks my loss of memory, chunks of time, and sudden instability might be seizures, so I'm getting an EEG on November 8th. She's also running some blood work to check for Lymes disease and see if my vitamin D levels are low. This is the best part (I'm not being sarcastic) though; she loves the challenge of medical mysteries! From what I understand she's like Dr.House, but really friendly! Talk about a jackpot of an answer to prayer! =)

  • My right leg is slowly getting better. Right now it's still really painful and swollen, but I'm on a big hitter anti-inflammatory and will be seeing one of my doctors about it tomorrow, so it should get sorted out soon. (I'm working on writing out the story of what happened to my leg right now, so it should be up by the end of the week)

  • I'm still in chronic pain and I haven't noticed the levels getting lower, yet. I have, however, noticed that I always have a pain spike in the window of 3-4pm and that I usually run out of steam to just muscle through it in the window of 6-8pm

Well, I think that covers everything. If I forgot something and/or you have a question about this or anything else feel free to ask it – I even have a Forumspring account set up for it now and the link is on the Q/A page. So all y'all have to do is click the Q/A in the navigation bar and ask away! =)
