First Snow and a Trip to the Doctor

I woke up to snow this morning! I was going to take some pictures, but unfortunately I didn't get the chance.

In other news, I had a follow up appointment with my new rheumatologist about my leg. She doesn't think it was a ruptured cyst, they've actually never been seen in a hip, but a nerve problem called "Complex Regional Pain Syndrome" or "Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy." From what I understand, something happened to my leg and the nerves are going crazy and sending a ton of pain signals to my brain. It's like a really isolated form of Fibromyalgia. I'm starting on a medication for it tonight, so hopefully that'll help things some.

I'm going to get an MRI of my hip and thigh in the next week or two to make sure it's not something else, but whatever it is, I know I'll be alright. I've got an awesome God on my side, supporting me through all of this.

The pain's getting really bad, so I'm going to stop while I'm still making sense.

"We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
