Today an old friend of mine and a new friend of mine got married and it was beautiful. The love Morgan (my old friend) and Andrew (my new friend) have for each other is absolutely amazing and I just love watching it. I honestly cannot wait to see what's going to come out of this, they're moving out of state :( so I wont be able to witness it everyday, but I'm sure I'll catch glimpses via facebook. Anyway, since I don't want to describe the wedding to y'all (I personally think that would be kinda weird/creepy) I will share instead my first memories of both of these friends.
Andrew
I only met him a few years ago so the memory is pretty fresh....Well as fresh as my memory is. The whole gang was at Morgan and Eric's house for a party, I think it might have been for the 4th of July, but I'm not sure. And when I was in the kitchen getting something to drink Andrew walked in and we started small talk. After a while he asked what I wanted to do for a job, back then I was thinking forensic anthropologist, so I told him and he actually knew what it was! I was floored. Most of the time I had to explain it and people got all weirded out because I was going to work with bones. Not only did Andrew already know what forensic anthropology was, he also had an interest in the subject so we talked bones. It was awesome. Needless to say I approved when I found out Morgan was dating him. Good pick, Morgan! ;)
Morgan
Now for her I'm not going to tell my first actual memory. I have two reasons for this, one being that I've known her since I was 3 so I really don't know what my first one is and two for most of my childhood I was afraid of her and would often hide when she came around. I don't know why I was afraid of her, Morgan is one of the nicest, sweetest people I have had the pleasure of knowing, but I was afraid.
So, my first memory of Morgan when I wasn't running and hiding would have to be a Mexico mission trip we went on with our church. I was the youngest in the group and Morgan knew of me, so she and Nicole (another friend) kinda took care of me for the trip. I think they knew I was kinda scared to go out of the country and be away from my family during it, so they just showered me with love and it did not go unnoticed. When I got heat stroke Morgan was there with food and water, making sure I was alright. And when she had to go and work on the house she'd get away to check on me.
Needless to say, both of these people are truly amazing and I'm so glad that God has brought them together in this way. Morgan, Andrew, if y'all ever read this know that from the bottom of my heart I wish you both the best with your marriage and I will definitely keep you both in my prayers. <3
