Well, today was a day of ups and downs. Sara's pain remained relatively high, but she was able to Skype with her Twinny even if she just stared at her through the daze of pain. In spite of it all, GT was able to work her magic and get Sara to smile and relax through some of the worst of it. We also had a visit from our friend Nina, her 4 year old daughter & Poppy, her therapy dog-in-training. Poppy helped get the pain to the lowest point of the day, but the visit was a little short to have long lasting effects.
This evening, the doctors decided to try and switch her to oral meds and her pain climbed again, forcing a return to the pump. :( We have to get her on oral meds to go home, so we're still in the hospital and the pain is high again.
While the hospital staff is wonderful, she'd really like to go home. Your prayers and notes of encouragement mean the world to her and help her know she is not alone in this.
