Happy New Year!

Well, we rang out 2011 and rang in 2012 at the hospital. Not exactly how we'd hoped to start the new year, but we're thankful for all the nurses and staff that are helping to try and get Sara's pain under control. They have been awesome! Yesterday was a pretty rough day. She woke with one of her lowest pain readings since arriving and was hopeful that she might get to go home only to have it climb and stay at a 9 or higher most of the day. This has been hard on her physically and her body is just fried, but the emotional toll has been even greater. On the plus side, it has helped her realize just how much her family and friends love her.
We welcomed the new year in by reading Colossians. There is no better way to start or end a year or a day than with the Word of God! We trust God has a plan and purpose for this and rest in Him. Your prayers and well wishes are much appreciated.
